Stanimir Belomazhev in the Men Elite and Kosara Boteva and Iliana Ilieva in the Women Elite went home with the Bulgarian MTBO Sprint & Long titles and the most World Ranking Points from last weekend MTBO races held near Popovo, Bulgaria.
There was also a Relay race where the fastest and Bulgarian champions once again were Uzana Gabrovo in women class и Brown Team/Браун Тим in men class.
In the WRE Sprint distance which was held in Kovachevets village the organizers from Variant 5 Targovishte offered very challenging fast courses. Winners in the Elite classes were Stanimir Belomazhev and Kosara Boteva.
In the WRE Long distance the hot weather conditions made the courses even more tougher. They offered many route choice legs including one “monster” leg. Winners in the Elite classes were Iliana Ilieva in the Women and Stanimir Belomazhev in the Men class again.
Big tent camping in the finish area of the Long distance with all the needed facilities made the event quite social and fun as well.
